Sisters Hannah, Megan and Grace try to feed the birds from their hands

HOT CHOCOLATE & WILD BIRDS

There were treats for everyone recently – even the birds – at The Riverwood Conservancy’s Hot Chocolate and Wild Birds event. Families from the community came out to the free event on the morning of December 21st to make pinecone birdfeeders while enjoying a holiday sing-along. Afterwards, guests got a chance to head outside and hang their birdfeeders while some even got to feed chickadees from their hands! The exciting morning came to an end with families heading back inside the MacEwan Field Station for hot chocolate and some bird-themed colouring activities. The Riverwood Conservancy hosts a variety of free events for the community. To find out more about its educational programs and upcoming events, visit www.theriverwoodconservancy.org.
