Harpreet, Jasmine, Harleen and Gurleen prepare for their big performance

Tick Tick Talent Show

Youth were showcasing their talents for a good cause recently at the Tick Tick Talent Show presented by the Red Cross Youth Action Council. Individuals and groups of high school and university students auditioned over the last few months and 12 groups were chosen to compete in the Tick Tick Talent Show competition at the Gateway Centre for New Canadians. Performers ranged from dance groups to solo artists and incorporated a wide variety of instruments and multicultural music. It made for an impressive show overall! Ticket sales from the event went towards mosquito nets for people in Africa in order to fight the spread of malaria. Proceeds from food and drink sales went towards Haiti relief.
