2008 October > Hon. Jim Flaherty Reception Residents of Mississauga-South gathered to show support for the Conservative Party and to honour James "Jim" Flaherty, Canada's Minister of Finance on September 18. Hugh Arrison, conservative representation for Mississauga-South, sponsored the event that took place in the Old Port Credit Ballroom of the Waterside Inn. During his address to public, Hugh was sincerely grateful for the evident support the community demonstrated. To take Mississauga's voice back to Ottawa, Jim Flaherty joined the event to speak to the public and answer questions on issues surrounding environment and economics. The Canadian Federal Election is scheduled to be held on October 14, 2008 to elect members to the Canadian House of Commons.
