2008 October > Heart and Stroke Spin A Thon

Riding a bike for six hours straight would seem like a daunting task for most, but many brave and generous people gave up their time on September 13 to help raise money for the Heart and Stroke foundation. With the music pumping and everyone in high spirits, it was a great day for a great cause. Hundreds of people came together, either as individuals or groups, to spin continuously for six hours. Refreshments, fresh fruits and healthy sandwiches were all served for the great riders. The host of this event was Goodlife Fitness Center at South Common Mall, which truly helped make this event as successful as it was. This was Goodlife’s third annual Heart and Stroke Spin-A-Thon and all proceeds went directly to the heart and stroke foundation in support of their efforts to fight heart disease and stroke through research and education. A huge thanks goes out to all the riders for giving up their time and energy for such a good cause.
