2008 October > Superwalk for Parkinson's 2008

The Superwalk for Parkinson's was held at Erindale Park on September 14. It had been a rain filled weekend, but as people started walking around the park, choosing two or seven kilometers for Parkinson's, it became bright and sunny. The Superwalk is the biggest fundraiser for the disease and it is the second largest walk in the region. There were two hundred people participating in the walk and thanks to the community last year, they raised $80,000 for Parkinson's disease. After the walk, people came back to the main area of the park and ate some lunch, listened to the live band and enjoyed the great day. Everyone was in great spirits and many of the walkers have been coming to the Superwalk for many years. Families and friends came together to support, raise money and walk for Parkinson's.
