2008 October > Holy Name of Mary School Opening As the school year has come back once again, SNAP would like to welcome Holy Name of Mary College School to the Mississauga community. On September 2, all the new students, staff, family and friends joined together to open the newest member of community. Everyone gathered on the steps to watch President Margaret DeCourcy cut the royal blue ribbon and declare the school officially open. This was truly an exciting day for all, as the girls not only welcomed a new chapter to their life, they also entered a new grade and began in a new school. A piper led the procession of excited guests who all came together to mark this historic event. Dr. Kenneth Decker welcomed everyone with a blessing, before Sr. Celestine Giertych and Margaret Caravaggie expressed their hopes for the young girls and the whole school. Flowers and balloons helped decorate and set the mood, while cake helped with the celebration. Congratulations Holy Name of Mary.
