2008 October > Fall Folk Festival & Environmental Fair The Fall Folk Festival and Environmental Fair was a fun and educational way to spend the weekend. The festival was held at the Bradley Museum and featured a variety of environmental groups, folk musicians, a blacksmith, a bee keeper, horse and carriage rides, great food and a puppet show. The puppet show was definitely one of the places to be for the kids at the festival. Paddling Puppeteers was a show put together to educate children on the environment. Glen, the puppeteer, held two shows, one talking about the shoreline and the other talking about the Credit River. It was a fun and interactive way to teach children about these problems. There were several environmental groups talking about these problems as well. Evergreen, a non-for-profit group which educates about the environment and greening corporate grounds, Environment Mississauga, which was educating about less use of motor vehicles and Clean Lakes which discussed water quality and non point source pollution. Along with these groups there was a booth selling and educating about eco-friendly products. Hearty Catering had some delicious treats for the people walking around the festival to enjoy. It was a great day filled of learning and fun for everyone to enjoy.
